One Fixed Fee, Every Cost on the Table
The three things every dealer asks first — what it costs, how it ships, and how payment works — answered here, before you send a single email.
A fixed fee in Japanese yen — the same for a ¥500,000 Aqua or a ¥2,500,000 Prado. It covers the search, auction sheet translation, bidding on your behalf, and coordinating the export from the Japan side.
- Vehicle price is quoted inclusive of Japanese consumption tax (10%)
- Japan-side costs (auction fees, inland transport, export paperwork) and freight are itemised on every quote
- You approve the full landed-cost breakdown — vehicle price, Japan-side costs, export costs and our fee — before we bid
NAVIRA doesn't carry credit risk — that's part of what keeps the fee low. Terms ease as the partnership builds a track record.
- First order: the agreed budget is paid in full before we bid
- From your second order: 20% deposit before bidding, balance before shipment
- International bank transfer in Japanese yen; shipping documents released once funds have cleared
- No credit, no payment after delivery
Why is the fee so low?
Because we're open about where the rest comes from. Vehicles are exported under NAVIRA's name, so the Japanese consumption tax included in the vehicle price is refunded to us after export. That refund is part of our revenue — which is why the fee itself can stay at ¥50,000. Many exporters keep this quiet. We'd rather you knew.
What if we don't win the auction?
Nothing is charged. Your pre-payment or deposit carries over to the next bid — or, if you prefer, is refunded in full, less bank charges.
How does shipping work?
Freight is arranged per order with a forwarder — RoRo or container from Japan to your nearest New Zealand port — and quoted to you before you commit, alongside the vehicle price and our fee.
Can we reduce our exposure on a first order?
Yes — start with a single vehicle rather than a batch. We'd rather earn the second order than discount the first.
